The subject I choose to morph the portrait into is a robot because the technology is improving, in a few years, there might be a computer that can works as a function of a brain, therefore, it is possible for human to download all the information into a computer and live forever as a machine, so I want to show a transformation of human turning into a robot. It shows the development of technology, but also shows how much human depends on technology; the work is intended to be read as therapeutic and political. During the assignment, some challenges I faced is because photos have different sizes, so the pictures are moving from left to right while playing the animation, I overcome by trying to move the photos and select all the photos and crop them all at the same time. The part I most proud of is the beginning when the portrait starts to transform, if I have more time for the assignment, I would make the robot more like a mask, so it fits perfectly on the face and focus on the detail more.
